I can’t tell you how many times this quote comes to me in my daily encounters, but never more so than when starting to create my website.  Is it possible to craft words & images in such a way that the world will know who I really am?

This is my debut, my “coming out”, so to speak, and I want to get it right – the first time.  I want to tell all of you with words, with colors & graphics, in pictures, through my artwork, in every way possible via a computer screen, just who Jan Settle is.

What, if anything, can I possibly contribute to the world through my filters?  Can I help you see how essential color & design are in our world?  Can I encourage you to be awestruck when you pass a landscape on a morning so clear the very edges of the trees seem to vibrate?  Could I convince you to pull your car over & take endless shots of a scene so unbelievable that you could only hope to recreate that feeling again & again in a painting?  Could I be the one to assist in removing your carefully constructed barriers that prevent you from being the creative person you were meant to be?

Maybe you are already using your Right Brain & we can compare notes.  Maybe you are starting to use it & I can offer some encouragement & the gift of my experience.  Maybe you’ve never had the desire to use your Right Brain & never will, but you appreciate the efforts of someone like me who’s giving it a try.  I hope that I can share something with everyone who reads this & that each of you will give me the honor of sharing with me.

So – here I go – off into Cyberspace, or the Cloud, or wherever this first attempt goes!  I hope to see you there soon!
